This allows developers and system administrators to add automatic updating facility to their own software packages. Therefore, an administrator could plug ActiveUpdate into their scripts to keep their systems or users updates. Plugging ActiveUpdate into the software packages allows users an automatic or scheduled update functionality. Its main features are that the developer can plug ActiveUpdate into their own software and use as they please, they can perform a "Check for updates" routine and report rather than act, they can perform a "Update all" routine rather than report and the clients using your software can click your update button and Active will do the work transparently.
